What Our Customers Say
Well I have done all cafes in Hay but this one is a cut above the rest, the staff are just wonderful. The food is excellent we ended up with the chocolate cake warmed it’s just awsome. Will return to Hay just to have lunch here. It was a fitting anniversary lunch.

What a gem of a place and very sensibly priced. Although full when we arrived we were warmly greeted and a table found for us sitting with another couple (with whom we chatted like old friends!). The waitress could not have been nicer (even when we were scrabbling around for change as they do not accept cards). The scones both gluten free and flour-full were divine and teamed with a cuppa it was a perfect antidote to the wind and rain outside, a real taste of summer! Thank you!
“Gluten free Scone with Jam and Cream, a real treat!!”Peacock5000
Lovely warm welcome on arrival, quickly seated despite obvioulsy busy! Great choice on menu with really good range of specials both lighter bites and meals. Mains and deserts came beautiful presented, generous portions and all locally sourced and homemade and freshly cooked. Service was faultess! Just back from the main street, well worth looking out and little gem, we will be back! Homemade jams and chutneys for sale also 5 stars 🙂
